Ali Blankinship
Ali Blankinship, Ph.D., is the Director of Partnerships & Strategy for William & Mary’s Strategic Cultural Partnerships (SCP) office. She leads the development and execution of strategic partnerships with state departments of education and school districts for lilyPD, W&M’s online professional development platform for K-12 teachers.
Ali has nearly two decades of progressive experience in education, with expertise in strategic planning and implementation, online program management, curriculum and learning design, professional development, and educational technology across K-12 and higher education. She is passionate about equipping educators with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to create engaging, high-impact learning experiences for their students.
Prior to joining SCP, Ali held leadership roles at W&M’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business and at WHRO Public Media, where she managed online programs and course development. She also served as an Instructional Designer at W&M and as an Instructional Technology Specialist for WJCC Public Schools, facilitating professional development to teachers across all levels and subjects.
Ali began her career as a high school social studies teacher and maintains an active Virginia teaching license. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership from W&M, as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh.
