Literacy Strategy: Map the Structure
In this activity, educators guide students in mapping the structure of a text by identifying the main topic of each paragraph and organizing those ideas into an outline. Through modeling and practice, students learn to treat paragraph topics like a “table of contents” that reveals how a text is organized.
