Discussion Goal Setting
In this activity, students set a personal goal for their participation in a class discussion, focusing on an area for growth such as using evidence, active listening, or engaging respectfully. Before the discussion, they identify and plan for their goal, then reflect afterward on their performance, outcomes, and next steps.
