Writing Claim Statements: The “Synthesize It” Claim

This student-facing activity guides students through writing a synthesis claim by making meaningful comparisons, contrasts, and connections between topics. Students begin by studying a professional WAGOLL (What a Good One Looks Like), then use guided brainstorming and graphic organizers to develop and write their own synthesis claim.
